Position Title: Head, Collections Credit Strategy Unit

 

 

 

Job Summary:

  • The key responsibility is to develop, implement, and optimize strategies to manage credit risk and improve collections performance.
  • Work closely with various stakeholders to analyze data, identify trends, and create actionable insights that drive the effectiveness of collections operations
  • Drives the loss forecasting exercise to support strategic decision-making and regulatory compliance

 

 

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective collection strategies and policies
  • Assess credit risk for new and existing clients
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements
  • Monitor the effectiveness of collections strategies and recommend adjustments to improve outcomes
  • Identify key drivers of credit loss and incorporate them into forecasting models
  • Work closely with finance, risk management, and other
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the forecasting process
  • Ensure transparency and accuracy in all forecasting reports and presentations
     

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field 
  • At least 8 years of relevant credit risk management experience from the banking or financial industry
  • At least 5 years experience in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Proficiency in risk management software, data analysis tools, and financial modeling
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to assess credit risk and make data-driven decisions
