Position Title: Design Researcher
Job Summary: Platform 11 team’s User Experience vision and design execution, the visual and interaction design system, and its best practices, through behavioral insights about its customers and users. In addition, because insights and iterations are only as effective as how widely understood and supported, they are, it is the design researcher’s role to evangelize these across the team, and with our key stakeholders.
Role Exposure:
Core design functions
• Design, set up, and execute mixed-method (could be focused on quantitative or qualitative) research and analysis in a lean workflow environment, and sync with other customer data captured from different internal and external sources
• Analyze and synthesize the findings and data to identify opportunities, and provide impactful (data-driven) guidance at every stage of development, from early concept, to design, prototyping, and post-launch
Design functions back-up
• Collaborate with Designers, Service Designers, Product Managers, Software Developers, and other Stakeholders to improve the usability, usefulness, and desirability of service experiences and digital products
Design process development and enhancement
• Establish, optimize, and manage methodologies, tools, standards, and best practices for design research within a digital banking team
• Help conduct training on user-centered and iterative design processes to Division team members
• Actively monitor and analyze research and information trends from internal sources and industry published reports to inform and improve our research methods
• Learn, imbibe and practice the Bank’s mission and vision, and, the Division’s identity and values.
Design processes regulatory and bank policy compliance
• Effectively engage with the appropriate Bank internal partners for regulations, policy, processes and requirements related to product design and development
• Align design research processes with the relevant regulation and bank policies, raising any required changes through the appropriate channels and authorities
