Job Summary:
- Supports the Head in providing MIS and data management support to the business, through the fulfilment of processes and implementation of projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Constructs and manipulates large databases for analysis and campaign execution
- Production and collation of regular and ad hoc MIS/reports for Metrobank-Consumer Business Sector (CBS)
- Assists automation and optimization initiatives to improve/streamline processes
- Prepares data in suitable formats for analysis and reporting
- Performs database management process – sourcing of databases, transformation/conversion to SAS datasets, data validation, preparation of views/reports for analysis by users and maintenance of historical databases
- Participates in User Acceptance Tests for system/process developments or enhancements that would require data validation/integrity-checking
- Provides support to database and MIS requirements of Metrobank-CBS
- Ensures proper hand-off (upload to internal front-end system) of lists for various customer services such as communications, rewards and incentive awarding and data maintenance
- Engages with inter-dependent units to improve hand-off process
- Evaluate and enhance existing processes to optimize resource allocation and decrease turn-around time
- Continuously monitor and enhance resource management particularly disk space usage and data retention and availability
- Ensures compliance with all internal and external regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- College graduate of any business, statistical or mathematical course
- Strong working knowledge of SAS, Excel, and Powerpoint; exposure to different programming languages is an advantage
- Ability to manipulate/transform data from various sources
- Familiarity with data management / database administration concepts
- Highly strategic in thinking, solid problem solving capabilities and having a result oriented mindset
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation - Ability to streamline processes and provide creative solutions whenever necessary
- Initiative - Proactive and shows willingness to take part in new initiatives for MIS enhancements/automation
- Business Knowledge Application – Able to explain to business users the data items contained in the data warehouse and how these can answer their business requirements
- Customer Focus - Can handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining standards of quality
- Displays flexibility in adapting to changes as role/function evolves within the team
