Position Title: Deputy Head, Compensation Management Division

Job Summary:
Develops and implements a compensation and rewards strategy to include salary benchmarking, annual salary review and bonus scheme design, merit increases, promotion, compensation packages, market position etc. ensuring external competitiveness of the bank’s compensation and benefits programs. Manages the payroll function and ensures timely and accurate payouts of all employees of the bank and senior officers of certain domestic subsidiaries. Manages and maintains the agenda for the Manpower Committee.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Compensation Management
- Develops and implements compensation and rewards strategy that ensures the external competitiveness of the Bank’s compensation and benefits programs.
- Oversees the implementation of the Bank’s compensation policies and programs for officers such as promotion, annual merit increase, development of employee compensation packages, annual salary reviews, bonuses, allowances, etc.
- Develops and designs salary structures of the Bank, domestic subsidiaries and foreign offices and subsidiaries.
- Develops and implements programs to monitor and benchmark the attractiveness of the Bank’s compensation and rewards programs against relevant industry statistics and key competitors.
- Conducts research and special studies relative to the review, introduction or modification of compensation and benefits policies and programs.
- Advises HR business partners on competitive salaries for officer new hires.
- Advises senior management on all aspects of compensation and benefits for officers and Board of Directors.
- Oversees and ensures resolution of compensation and benefits issues/irregularities and employee inquiries.
- Ensures completeness and accuracy of compensation databases.
Compensation and Benefits Accounting
- Manages payroll function ensuring that all employees of the Bank and senior officers of domestic subsidiaries are paid on time, queries are dealt within a timely manner and coordinates with concerned units to resolve irregularities/issues.
- Ensures accurate and timely deduction and remittance of loan amortizations, taxes and other government-mandated deductions (i.e. SSS, Pag-ibig, Philhealth) and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely recording of payroll expenses.
- Oversees processing of retirement benefits and separation pay of resigned/retired employees of the bank and senior officers of identified domestic subsidiaries.
- Ensures accurate and timely submission of government regulatory reports.
- Ensures accurate and timely preparation of Philhealth and SSS certifications and Certificate of Employment with Compensation.
Secretariat to the Manpower Committee
- Manages and maintains agenda for the Manpower Committee.
- Reviews submissions for the committee and raises any issue/concern with the author/s or proponent/s.
- Assists the Chairman in facilitating discussions with committee members and captures minutes and action items.
- Maintains a clear and organized file of committee correspondence, papers, minutes and agendas.
- Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.
