Position Title: Head, Business Analytics Department 

 

Job Summary:

  • Identify relevant and actionable insights that will support revenue growth, reduce operational cost, improve efficiency, reduce risk, improve customer experience/ delight and uncover other optimization opportunities
  • Lead the development and maintenance of data models, reporting systems, data automation systems and dashboards that support key business decisions
  • Design and build analytical solutions and technical processes to address business decisions
  • Ensure continuous recommendation, introduction, and innovation of analytical processes and/or business intelligence systems that would enhance quality and speed of analysis
  • Ensures best practice approach are used on analytical methodologies and data management initiatives
  • Oversee execution of data analytics and/or data management initiatives and ensure they are delivered based on business need, agreed specification and timeline to support business decisions and strategy development with high quality and accuracy
  • Lead the team to successfully complete all phases of a data analysis project, including but not limited to: Data Planning (requirements and technical specification), Data Collection, Data Cleansing, Analysis, and Recommending Solutions
  • Proactively anticipate business needs coming out of collaboration with different stakeholders and translate inputs into business reports
  • Empower business reviews with growth and efficiency improvement opportunities drawn from data while driving frequency of collaboration
  • Work in close partnership with the senior leadership team to present findings & execute analytics agenda
  • Lead interviews, focus groups, and side-by-side observations from stakeholders to document current business and operational processes as input to business analytics initiatives
  • Prioritize projects and other initiatives taking into consideration business impact and priority, team capability and budget resource, to optimize impact and business decision 

 

Role Exposure:

  • Lead a team that will support the main channel of the bank
  • Champion growth identification and support decision making to ensure sustainable growth for the Branch Banking Sector

 

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 business analytics/ intelligence or any related field
  • 2 years’ experience in leading business analytics/ intelligence projects
  • 1-3 years’ experience in banking or financial services
  • Preferably experienced in leading a team of business analysts/ cross functional team of business analysts
  • Must have strong business acumen (able to translate insights to business implications)
  • Well versed in presenting to varying levels of Management
