Job Summary:
Designer’s role is to turn the division’s User Experience vision into tangible, navigable reality. The Designer uses customer-driven insights and iterative methodologies to design and create usable, relevant, and elegant user flows, interfaces, structure, and interactions. The Interaction Design team also establishes an interface design system organizing the best practices across the division’s digital banking products.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
Core Design Functions
- Work through design problems from beginning to end: translating research insights into ideas that form useful products and features, and design their corresponding workflows and detailed interactions
- Prepare high fidelity designs for developer hand-off with proper documentation
- Draft and prototype ideas to quickly assess their viability, and craft the fine-grained details; then iterating quickly based on critical, actionable feedback
- Work closely with across-functional teams (from Tech/ Software Engineering, Design Research, and Product) to ensure designs meet user, business, and tech requirementsLead and create the interaction design approach for various initiatives, in collaboration with Service Designers, other Interaction Designers and Product Managers
Design Functions Back-up
- Guide the work of fellow designers on shared projects and providing feedback to ensure that the team is delivering high-quality work Design Process Development and Enhancement
- Establish, optimize, and manage design patterns (reusable and recurring elements) methodologies, tools, standards, and best practices for interface and interaction design within a digital banking team
- Help conduct training on user-centered and iterative design processes to Division team members
- Learn, imbibe, and practice the Bank’s mission and vision, and the Division’s identity and values.
Design Processes Regulatory and Bank Policy Compliance
- Effectively engage with the appropriate Bank internal partners for regulations, policy, processes and requirements related to product design and development
- Align design processes with the relevant regulation and bank policies, raising any required changes through the appropriate channels and authorities
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
- Proven experience in interaction design, UX design, or digital product design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions across multiple platforms.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.).
Preferred
- Experience working in Agile product development teams.
- Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, and accessibility standards.
- Experience in fintech, digital banking, or other regulated industries.
