Position Title: Product Manager
Job Summary:
The jobholder is responsible for developing and optimizing the product value proposition to grow and optimize CCPD’s product portfolio. S/he should develop and implement marketing programs and strategic alliances with key merchants to drive business growth, meet business targets and protect the product portfolio against competitors’ innovations and campaigns. The jobholder should ensure that performance monitoring and profitability measures are in place.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Product Management

- Initiates and launches end to end product development strategies to strengthen Metrobank’s positioning in the market.
- Develops the card value proposition and improves its features and benefits over time.
- Create strategies and programs to increase Net Customer Growth and profitability of corresponding products by working with cross functional teams on acquisition, retention, activation and upgrade/ sidegrade initiatives.
- Analyze consumer behavior and profile, work with analytics and cross functional teams to design, develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns that will build customer loyalty and drive spend behavior.
- Manages product P&L, KPIs and end to end customer experience.
- Works with the schemes (i.e. Visa/ Mastercard) to enhance the card value proposition and improve its features and benefits over time.
- Partner Management
- Work with the partners to identify opportunities to drive incremental customer growth, revenue and enhanced customer experience
- Understanding the business model of these new opportunities and potential profitability.
- Oversee the launch of the initiatives and strategies and evaluate P/L performance post launch.
- Constant competition benchmarking to analyze and implement industry best practices.
- Collaborates with cross functional teams (Credit Acquisition, Decisions Management, Business Development, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, Risk, etc.) to achieve maximum results.
- Coordinates with technology team for product and rewards system maintenance and capability.
- Liaise with merchants and partners to bring onboard new alliances and affiliates for revenue opportunities.
- Coordinates with Marketing Communications for the development of marketing collaterals and other creative requirements to promote his/her programs
- Prepares and monitors monthly MIS reports for regular evaluation of campaigns to ensure targets are achieved.
- Manage and optimize use of the budget allocated for the assigned segment and corresponding products handled.
- Perform other duties & responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree from a college/university and preferably a graduate of a business course.
- Has at least 3 years’ experience in financial services or related marketing fields (i.e. credit card, banking, FMCG, telecommunications industries).
- Has at least 5 years solid experience in product management including developing and launching products and marketing programs.
- Ability to understanding of the different areas of the credit card business and the capacity to relate unit’s operations and financial metrics to the overall business of the company
- Has strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to working with cross functional teams and has understanding technical product construct and work with the Business Technology team to launch
- Adept at preparing communication, research and creative briefs and has experience in creating MIS reports for marketing programs.
