Product Growth Manager

Job Summary:

The jobholder is responsible for developing and managing marketing programs intended to grow MCC’s card base.  S/he develops programs and the launch of strategic alliances with key merchants to stimulate card acquisition. S/he should protect the Metrobank credit card product portfolio against attrition through development of strategic campaigns to retain existing customers. S/he ensures acquisition remains profitable for each sourcing channel.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Develop year-round programs to support sourcing of new card application.
  • Manage 60-day activation and first usage for newly acquired accounts.
  • Work closely with Sales to come up with new programs that may challenge the current programs that will improve on the current acquisition process, and develop new sales strategies to increase the number of application turn-ins
  • Negotiate with partner merchants and establishments to deliver better value proposition to MCC’s acquisition programs
  • Coordinate with Marketing Communications for the development of marketing collaterals and other creative requirements to promote his/her programs
  • Work with cross functional teams to develop strategies to minimize total Attrition.
  • Create anti attrition campaigns and monitor results. 
  • Manage and optimize use of the budget allocated for the acquisition and anti-attrition programs.
  • Prepare and monitor monthly MIS reports for regular evaluation of product and promo take-up and to ensure that targets are achieved
  • Update and monitor the different P&L models per channels to ensure that acquisition remain profitable.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree from a college/university and preferably a graduate of a business course.
  • Has at least 5 years solid experience in developing and launching marketing programs. Preferably with experience in implementing acquisition programs.
  • Has broad understanding of the different areas of the credit card business and the capacity to relate unit’s operations and performance metrics to the overall business of the company
  • Has strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Adept at preparing communication, research and creative briefs and has experience in creating MIS reports for marketing programs.
