Position Title: Product Manager

 

 

Job Summary

The commercial deposit Product Manager (PM) shall act as the overall business manager covering the product’s development, commercialization, execution/ implementation, enhancement, servicing, risk mitigation capabilities and profitability. The commercial deposit Product Manager (PM) shall be the main point of contact for any initiatives/changes related to commercial deposit products.

 

 

Role Exposure:

 

Business Generation

  • Develop product/business plans covering market segmentation, product positioning, competitive analysis, sales strategy, pricing strategy and product enhancement to ensure business growth
  • Align product/business plan with the overall objective and vision of the Bank
  • Define pricing for commercial deposit product 
  • Formulate product marketing/commercialization strategy to increase sales activities and product take up (e.g., internal/external product campaigns) in coordination with the CXMD and Marketing

 

Operational Efficiency

  • Develop/update commercial deposit product manual
  • Develop/enhance commercial deposit products 
  • Develop, evaluate and review process changes related to the product/customer segment
  • Monitor commercial deposit product performance and P&L
  • Monitor competitors and stay abreast of market trends to identify emerging opportunities and threats
  • Collaborate with internal and/or cross-functional partner units to deliver overall business objectives and requirements of commercial deposit products
  • Coordinate with external parties/vendors on product supplies and other items that will support the product features, if any
  • Perform other related functions that may be assigned from time to time


Risk Awareness and Management

  • Assess risks on commercial deposit products and ensure that products have necessary controls in place to avoid incidences of AMLA, risk, internal and external fraud, and data privacy
  • Understand regulatory requirements and compliance standards and applies accordingly to commercial deposit products and ensures compliance of all products with regulatory and internal policies
  • Coordinate with control units (e.g., Risk Management Group, Compliance Division, Legal Services Division, AMLD, etc) to mitigate risk/s on commercial deposit products and ensure compliance with regulatory requirement
     

 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any business course
  • Knowledgeable in Banking Products and Services, Basic Banking Operations, Market Trends and competitor scan
  • Understands market research, statistics and analysis
  • Knowledge of development principles
  • Good understanding of risk, compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams and under pressure of deadlines
  • With good communication skills
  • Emotional and social intelligence
  • Good leadership skills
