Position Title: Head, Commercial Credit - Central Metro Manila II

 

Job Summary:
 

  • Assists senior leadership in attaining the bank’s objective of managing the credit risks, maintaining the quality and acceptability of the bank’s loan portfolio, ensures the quality of the credit process and attain the group’s goals
  • Assists top management and the Senior Leaders in handling special assignment & projects
  • Administers the day to day operations of the group

Role Exposure:
 

  • Reviews, analyzes and finalizes Credit Group’s stand on loan proposals through CREAD’s evaluation sheets on all accounts for approval by the Credit Committees these loan proposals cover accounts coming from Metro Manila branches, Countryside branches, International branches and Subsidiaries
  • Initiates through the Divisions concerned credit policy reviews / appropriate amendments for consideration by the Systems Division and approved by the EXCOM
  • Closely partners with the lending officers, Branch Managers and other Senior Officers pertaining to lending policies and appropriate financial packaging for the Credit Committee’s consideration
  • Ensures quality credit assessments, appropriate and timely credit risk rating and classification, timely monitoring of challenged credits, and sound judgment on credit
  • Stays on top of the credit portfolio
  • Ensures capacity is right-sized at all times, timely hiring of talent, talent retention, and effective performance management
  • Ensures effective and relevant training/people development. Ensures sound succession is in place
  • Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree of business courses preferably Economics, Accounting or Finance
  • Has analytical orientation, appraisal, detail orientation, financial resource management internal control, policy formulation, records and information management, research orientation and risk assessment experience
  • At least 10 years’ working experience in Credit with focus on Commercial and Corporate Loans
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills
  • Must have a pro-active approach to problem solving and the ability to meet tight deadlines
