PORTFOLIO MANAGER, MULTI-ASSET INVESTMENTS DEPARTMENT
Position Title: Portfolio Manager (Multi-Asset Investments Department)
Specific Competencies: Analytical, portfolio management skills, diligence towards details of transactions, compliant to risk policies, willing to be mentored.
Job Summary:
- Mainly responsible for the prudent deployment of funds across the asset type/s as mandated in the client’s investment policy (IPPS);
- Shall ensure the assets held by each assigned portfolio are aligned with the strategy of TBG; both strategically and tactically;
- For fixed income, the strategy shall focus on the ideal allocation to bonds as supported by the group’s outlook on interest rates, taking into consideration key macro-economic fundamentals that affect the bond market space and adopting the appropriate stance in terms of duration, among other initiatives that may be necessary for the attainment of the portfolio’s goals.
- For equities, the strategy shall focus on the ideal allocation to stocks given TBG’s outlook for the market as well as the diligent construction of the equities portfolio with the aim of outperforming the benchmark consistently. These shall be achieved thru prudent stock selection and take profit/loss discipline.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors economic developments both globally and locally and analyze the impact of these in the assets managed.
- Evaluates new investment securities and recommends action to the Investment Committee and Trust Committee as may be necessary.
- Act as resource person in fund performance reviews to clients as well as to internal clients in the TBG regular market updates/huddles.
- Shall perform regular review of portfolios thru appropriate performance measures to ensure the compliance to the goals of the portfolio.
- Shall ensure the trades are accurately in the trust system on the date of transaction when applicable.
- Performs other related functions that may be necessary in the achievement of the portfolio’s goals and that of TBG’s. Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.
