Job Summary:

 

The Relationship Manager is the main touchpoint between the bank and the HNWI segment. The RM is accountable for his customer base’s risk appetite and investment profiles, and serves as the primary delivery channel of the bank’s brand of customer service. The RM contributes to the bank’s business growth by meeting financial targets from these relationship accounts.

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with appropriate parties from the Retail Banking Sector, Institutional Banking Sector, Market Sales Group, Consumer Lending Group for new-to-Private Wealth referrals, and to secure the pre-requisites of PW-referred accounts
  • Works with the PW Support team for the completion of client onboarding requirements
  • Constructs, validates, updates the account’s profile to determine the client’s banking and investment needs and risk appetite, and recommends appropriate financial solutions accordingly.
  • Conducts regular portfolio reviews as part of the assessment process.
  • Recommends to the Department Head potential markets, client referral resources, and opportunities for an initial dialogue with prospective new-to-bank customers.
  • Ensures existing clients and candidates for on-boarding are introduced to the department head
  • Attends to customers’ queries consistent with the bank’s customer experience promise, and anticipates and creates other opportunities that will lead to enhanced business relationships
  • Performs other functions that may be required from time to time

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Business/finance degree or other related studies, MBA is an advantage;
  • At least 3 years of sales experience in the banking or financial services industry
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and confident in talking to senior clients and internal partners
