Trade Finance Officer (Binondo)

Position Title: Trade Finance Officer

 

Job Summary:

Performs pre-approval and review of trade documentary requirements submitted by clients. Registration of transaction in trade system and document imaging for intraday transactions. Oversees or monitors the status of trade documentary submissions. Ensures timely advice and release of processed trade transactions to the client. Manages the incoming and outgoing communication via emails, phone calls, over-the-counter inquiries from clients, and other business units. Analyses and provides resolutions on trade finance related matters with reference to bank existing policies and procedures, applicable regulatory rules, and international trade principles and practices. Identifies and drives project innovations to achieve efficient operations. Assists in the review and recommend policies and process change.

 

Role Exposure:

  • Get a chance to learn how Metrobank plays a key role in the physical and financial supply chain of our clients

  • Learn how to read and draft Letters of Credit, Guarantees and Standby LCs, plus learn how the local and global guidelines (e.g. BSP  regulations, International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) rules) play a big role with Trade Finance

  • Expand your network of Metrobank friends (e.g. Product Managers, Relationship Managers, Relationship Assistants, Account Servicing Managers, Credit and Legal team) as you collaborate with them on Trade Finance matters

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Banking, Finance, Business, or equivalent

  • At least 2 years’ experience in account management or any customer facing related function

  • Knowledge and experience on Trade Finance or IBS Relationship Management is an advantage

  • Detail oriented and analytical

  • Can collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
