Position Title: Credit Review Officer
Job Summary:
- Preparation and credit assessment of loan proposals and corresponding borrowers
- Credit Risk and Portfolio Management
- Conformity to internal and external policies
Role Exposure:
- Should ensure consistent and advance coordination with Institutional Banking Segment (IBS) counterparts on the timely submission of pre-approval documents, and the active management of his/her assigned portfolio of accounts together with the lending officer.
- Prepares the Evaluation and Recommendation for Credit Accommodation (ERCA) for credit line renewals of IBS accounts according to policy and in compliance with the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) with IBS.
- Validates data provided by lending units as part of the credit assessment.
- Assess the related collateral and documentation deviations and necessary mitigations in relation to the credit assessment.
- Identify all relevant policy and regulatory deviations to arrive at a fair assessment of the overall risks and make the appropriate recommendations.
- Prepare the financial spreadsheet and financial evaluation of new borrowing clients. May be asked to evaluate the ERCA prepared by IBS for the establishment of its credit facilities.
- Determine and assess credit risk rating and classification and ensure these are appropriate and relevant at all times.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Accountancy, Accounting Management, Math, Statistics, Financial Management and Economics
- At least 3 years working experience in credit with focus on commercial and corporate loans
- Knowledgeable in credit risk analysis
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Must have a pro-active approach to problem solving and the ability to meet tight deadlines
