The jobholder will develop and document the division’s policies and procedures, proactively or in response to regulatory or Bank requirements and in collaboration with various business units. He/She evaluates and recommends improvement to the existing business processes and ensures that all procedures are properly mapped and documented and compliant to the provisions promulgated by other regulatory bodies. He/She will analyse collection trends and formulate risk mitigating programs. Performance review will be done based on agreed cadence and recommendations will be presented to the stakeholders.

Position Title: Collections and Risk Mitigations Officer

 

Job summary: The jobholder will develop and document the division’s policies and procedures, proactively or in response to regulatory or Bank requirements and in collaboration with various business units. He/she evaluates and recommends improvement to the existing business processes and ensures that all procedures are properly mapped and documented and compliant to the provisions promulgated by other regulatory bodies. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree holder; preferably graduate of  business course
  • At least 3 years of collections or credit risk experience from credit card company, bank or collection agencies

Location: Metropark, Pasay City

Evaluation, improvement and documentation of business policies and processes

  • Responsible for the production of policy and procedure documents and submission to Policy Development Department
  • Assesses existing processes, identifies gaps and risks and recommends ways to improve or streamline.
  • Work closely with the business to identify and analyze core business processes and workflows
  • Performs process mapping activities thru observation of user actions and evaluation of business requirements.  Result of studies are translated into procedures manuals
  • Ensures business processes are aligned with the company policies and compliant to regulatory provisions.
  • Facilitating of workshops and process memo cascade with the users
  • Prepares and issues bulletins (advisories, reminders, policies, etc.)

Manage risk mitigating programs

  • Identifies initiatives and opportunities to improve the risk mitigating programs available to delinquent accounts
  • Handles formulation and implementation of various payment programs to arrest account delinquency.
  • Works closely with Collections business units to identify initiatives for delinquent portfolio.
  • Provides management information and analyses regarding the performance of risk mitigating programs.

 

Liaise with Internal Customers

  • Coordinates with various Collections business units to identify process gaps for documentation.
  • Works with Risk and internal key stakeholders to produce risk mitigating programs to improve portfolio health.
  • Manage and monitor resolution of issues arising from process/policy gaps.
  • Participates in division strategic planning

 

Minimize Risk and credit losses

  • Assists unit heads, collection strategist and team leaders in ensuring failover plans are followed
  • Conducts periodic review of procedures/policies manuals to ensure compliance.

 

Perform various tasks that may be assigned from time to time (eg. BORC, BCP, Cost Champion, Corp. Correspondents, Line trainer, e-Champ).
