POSITION TITLE: Credit Card Product Lead

 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

The jobholder is the primary driver of the Credit Card Product strategies of the bank. He/She is responsible for further strengthening the Metrobank Credit Card value proposition through integrated Marketing Strategies that are anchored on highly analytical reviews of our products and services. 

 

The jobholder overseas the development and review of credit card products, related services and offerings to meet the demands of the market. He/She manages the Metrobank Credit Card portfolio to identify sizable target markets to maximize profitability while minimizing risk.

 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Supervisory Role
    • Lead and Mentor Product Team: Oversee a team of product managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure team members meet performance expectations and develop professionally.

 

    • Ensure Effective Execution: Continuously monitor and evaluate the execution of team functions, ensuring that product management processes, deliverables, and timelines are met with high standards of quality and efficiency.

 

  • Primary driver of product strategies
    • Innovative Product Management: Lead efforts to innovate and improve the company’s credit card product offerings, ensuring they are continuously evolving to meet changing consumer needs and preferences.
    • Strategic Identification of Opportunities: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the product suite through new product ideas, partnerships, and technological advancements, ensuring alignment of customer needs and preferences with business priorities and objectives.
    • New Product & Partnership Launches: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new credit card products and partnerships, overseeing the full product development lifecycle and market integration.

 

  • Analytical Skills
    • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize analytical and quantitative skills to assess product performance, leveraging data and key metrics to inform strategy, optimize product offerings, and improve business outcomes.
    • Financial Oversight: Manage the product’s P&L, ensuring financial goals are met and consistently evaluating the marketing budget, cost management, and investment opportunities to drive profitability.
    • KPI Management: Develop and monitor KPIs that track product performance, customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction, using these insights to refine and optimize the product strategy.
    • Partnership Optimization: Maintain strong relationships with key partners like Visa and MasterCard, collaborating to optimize these partnerships for mutual growth, innovation, and competitive advantage.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on product strategies, performance metrics, and deliverables.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Has at least 12 years extensive experience in conceptualizing, developing and managing marketing strategies and sales programs from banking, credit card/ financial institutions of FMCG company.
  • With at least 8 years of experience managing teams at a senior level.
  • Ability to understanding of the different areas of the credit card business and the capacity to relate unit’s operations and financial metrics to the overall business of the company
  • Has strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven experience in translating business strategies to business revenues and enhancing brand image.
