Position Title: Customer Information Analyst
Job Summary:
- The Customer Information Analyst provides assistance to the Head of Customer Information Management Department (CIMD) and Customer Information Officer, acts as first-line support in ensuring the integrity of the Bank’s customer information databases. Provide actionable insights and risk alerts by analyzing data trends and supporting the enhancement of data quality and compliance monitoring systems.
Role Exposure:
- Data Quality Review and Analysis:
- Ensure customer record integrity and consistency through diligent evaluation of customer files and monitoring of errors and discrepancies in the customer data received from source prior to processing.
- Conduct customer validation using available tools to check data against established criteria and send exception reports to concerned branches or Head office units for confirmation and or correction.x
- Facilitates data validation by analyzing and endorsement of customer data prior to creation of new trade clients and updating of existing customers in the system.
- Risk Detection support
- Help mitigate risks early on by sending exception notices and coordination to branches and business units concerned, providing guidance to users on proper handling and recommending measures to avoid discrepancies and monitor compliance.
- Communicate with the branches / units concerned to verify and confirm suspected duplicate records as well as to resolve inconsistencies in the customer information.
- Better Data-driven decisions:
- Minimize the occurrence of customer duplication by consolidation of duplicate records using automated tools to identify potential copies for more accurate and efficient customer information system.
- Reports creation and monitoring:
- Ensure productivity tracking, making sure that no tasks are missed, by accomplishing the daily report summary on completed tasks, enhancing accountability and help manage workload effectively.
- Timely monitoring of various exceptions and sending follow ups to concerned branches or Head Office units.
- Operational support:
- Provide support regarding customer information related concerns and assistance in implementing data quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure that the use customer data is effectively integrated to new projects by participation in the UAT stage (as needed) of new IT systems that involve customer information.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the Department and Bank.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business Administration, IT or related field.
- Basic understanding of banking regulations (e.g. AML, KYC)
- Attention to detail and curiosity to explore data trends.
- Strong commitment to data integrity.
- Ability to handle data with discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong work ethic and a high level of personal and professional integrity.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as word, excel, and PowerPoint.
