HEAD, CREDIT CARD PRODUCT STRATEGY

Job Summary:

The Credit Card Product Head is responsible for the overall management, development, and performance of the credit card product portfolio. This role involves strategic planning, product development, market analysis, customer engagement, and team leadership to ensure the credit card products align with the company’s goals and customer needs.

 

  • Product Strategy and Development:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive credit card product strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives
    • Lead the design, development, and launch of new credit card products or enhancements to existing products.
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the credit card industry.
  • Portfolio Management:
    • Monitor the performance of the credit card portfolio of each credit card variant, including profitability, customer growth, and customer satisfaction. Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure YOY growth, aligned with the company's overall objectives.
    • Analyze and report on key metrics such as activation rates, usage patterns, and attrition rates.
    • Manage the product lifecycle from concept to sunset, ensuring each product variant meets its intended goals.
  • Customer Engagement and Experience:
    • Ensure that the customer experience with credit card products is consistent, positive, and aligned with the brand.
    • Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve products and services.
  • Risk and Compliance Management:
    • Collaborate with the risk management and compliance teams to ensure all credit card products adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
    • Develop strategies to mitigate risk while optimizing product performance.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and mentor a team of product managers and other relevant staff, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
    • Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional development within the team.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and manage the budget for the credit card product portfolio.
    • Ensure that all initiatives are cost-effective and contribute to the company's financial targets.
    • Monitor contribution of each variant to business profitability, and identify opportunities to improve P&L of each variant.
  • Supervisory Role
    • Oversees the product managers under his/ her shop
    • Constantly ensures that the functions under the team are properly and effectively being executed

 

Qualifications:

  • Has at least 12 years extensive experience in conceptualizing, developing and managing marketing strategies and sales programs from banking, credit card/ financial institutions of FMCG company.
  • With at least 8 years of experience managing teams at a senior level.
  • Ability to understanding of the different areas of the credit card business and the capacity to relate unit’s operations and financial metrics to the overall business of the company
  • Has strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven experience in translating business strategies to business revenues and enhancing brand image.
