Position Title: Network Administrator
Job Summary: Works under the supervision of the department head and is responsible for the support maintenance, delivery of enhancement requests to existing network infrastructure that enable Internet access and system and data access to users. Design, evaluate, install, establish, and maintenance and administration of major, complex and enterprise-level network infrastructure solutions in response to the customer requirements. Provide technical support and consultation services to personnel in data center operations, Enterprise Solution Architect, Service Management and Operations, Service Support units and subsidiaries. Plan, prepare, recommend and implement roadmaps for the enterprise-level network infrastructure of the bank. The ideal candidate is responsible for maintaining the design and integrity of both customer-facing and internal systems as well as providing technical assistance to team members
Role Exposure:
- Install and administers major, very-complex, enterprise-level network infrastructure components and facilities. Maintain infrastructure uptime, performance and security at agreed service levels.
- Research industry developments on network security, routing and switching, to learn and implement secured infrastructure, implement best administration practices and understand cost-effective alternatives. Where needed, recommends better and/or more cost-effective replacement of network infrastructure. · Provide technical support and consultancy services to personnel in data center operations, Enterprise Solution Architect, Service
- Management and Operations, Service Support units, Information Security Officer and subsidiaries.
- Provide second-level support for assigned network infrastructure -related incidents within established service level requirements and/or coordinate support needed with vendor. · Minimize the occurrence of network infrastructure -related incidents by investigating, analyzing, developing and implementing corrective measures as directed.
- Communicate and coordinate with solution providers/vendors regarding product updates, fixes, and support requirements.
- Periodically monitor the “health” and performance of his assigned network infrastructure components,and regularly report the status of such to his seniors.
- Perform maintenance or tuning and regular housekeeping on network infrastructure components, e.g. cleanup of unnecessary components, system-level backup, vendor preventive maintenance, etc.
- Document the configuration of his assigned network infrastructure components, and keeps such documentation updated and secure.
- Train, as necessary, to other network administrators on solutions, functionality and features.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to other network administrators.
- Perform other related functions that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
