Position Title: System Administrator
Role Exposure:
- Be trained in hardware and software support – configuring resilient, secure architecture to ensure the success of the business
- Work with various teams – enhance collaboration and tighter feedback loops across all teams
- Be exposed in maintaining the system holding up the entire business
Job Summary:
- Setting up, configuring, maintaining, and operating a logical grouping of infrastructure components (i.e., server hardware, its operating system and associated system utilities)
- Performance of system administration tasks like provisioning, patching, monitoring, and capacity planning
- Evaluation of upgrades or replacements to prevent the obsolescence of the infrastructure
- Tuning activities to optimize the infrastructure performance
Qualifications:
- Experience in system administration of different types of OS platform (preferably Windows and Linux)
- Experience in system administration of virtualized environments (VMWare, Hyerv and OVM)
- Knowledgeable in VMWare, HyperV or OVM
- Knowledgeable on advanced server setup like clustering, cloud transition, etc.
- Also open to fresh graduates with IT background specializing in Computer Engineering

The Systems Administrator evaluates, installs, and administers major, complex, and enterprise-level infrastructure components and facilities. He provides technical support services to personnel in the operations. Plans, prepares, recommends and implements medium-term roadmaps for the enterprise-level infrastructure that he manages.
- Installs and administers major, very-complex, infrastructure components and facilities. Maintains infrastructure uptime, performance and security at agreed service levels.
- Researches industry developments regarding his assigned infrastructure components, to learn and implement better infrastructure administration practices, understand cost-effective alternatives, and to guard against unplanned obsolescence. Where needed, recommends better and/or more cost-effective replacement infrastructure.
- Communicates, and coordinates with infrastructure vendors regarding product updates, fixes, and support requirements
- Periodically monitors the condition and performance of his assigned infrastructure components, and regularly reports the status of such to his seniors
- Performs regular housekeeping on his assigned infrastructure components, e.g. cleanup of unnecessary components, system-level backup, vendor preventive maintenance, etc.

- Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time
Required Skills: Linux, VMWare and Cloud experience
