JOB DESCRIPTION BRANCH OPERATIONS OFFICER
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Operational Efficiency
- Reviews and approves transaction related documents processed by CSRs
- Executes the DOF diligently (see Annex A)
- Ensures accuracy at source for all transactions
- Ensures that daily transactional requirements of customers are efficiently served
- In charge of queue management/LMS
- Prompts customers to migrate to online banking and e-channels
- Proposes process improvements and policy enhancements
- Replenishes cash in the assigned on-site and off-site (for SABs) Automated Teller Machines (ATM)
- Participates actively during regular Breakthrough Forum
- Responsible for branch housekeeping
Risk Awareness and Regulatory Compliance
- Aligns the branch in the awareness, understanding, mitigation, monitoring, and management of risks (e.g. business, operational, reputational, etc.)
- Ensures that the branch pass the AMLA, Business Process, BIADD and BCAD assessments
- Responsible for resolving long outstanding audit exceptions and documentary deficiencies
- Responsible for the branch internal control implementation regarding transaction management, account related transactions and clearing operations in regard to the risk appetite of the bank
- Ensures consistent implementation of the Bank’s Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Program (MLPP):
- Complies with all AML/CFT responsibilities as provided under the relevant Bank policies and procedures
- Ensures timely and proper resolution of identified AML/CFT issues
- Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time in connection with identification, assessment, monitoring control and reporting of AML/CFT risks
- Ensures Bank’s compliance with applicable AML/CFT laws, rules and regulations, latest trends and best practices
- Ensures compliance of KYC requirements during account opening and account review/updating including interviewing client and reviewing the required documents
- Reviews customer risk assessment and seeks approval prior to account opening and during account review/updating
Customer Centricity
- Ensures consistent service delivery to minimize customer complaints
- · As the designated Consumer Assistance Officer (CAO) of the branch, he/she is responsible for receiving and documenting complaints/queries on accounts and providing timely resolution
People Development
- Co-presides daily morning huddle
- Coaches and mentors CSRs through regular one-on-one sessions
- Contributes in building camaraderie and maintaining harmonious relationship among branch and agency personnel
- Identifies high potential CSRs
- Endorses CSR appointments and promotions
- Participates as panelist for revalida and SME for trainings and immersions
Others
- Contributes in the attainment of the BPS
- Attends regular area BOO meeting
- Attends regular branch meeting
- Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time
