JOB DESCRIPTION   BRANCH OPERATIONS OFFICER

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Operational Efficiency

  1. Reviews and approves transaction related documents processed by CSRs
  2.  Executes the DOF diligently (see Annex A)
  3.  Ensures accuracy at source for all transactions
  4. Ensures that daily transactional requirements of customers are efficiently served
  5.  In charge of queue management/LMS
  6.  Prompts customers to migrate to online banking and e-channels
  7.  Proposes process improvements and policy enhancements
  8.  Replenishes cash in the assigned on-site and off-site (for SABs) Automated Teller Machines (ATM)
  9.  Participates actively during regular Breakthrough Forum
  10.  Responsible for branch housekeeping

Risk Awareness and Regulatory Compliance

  1. Aligns the branch in the awareness, understanding, mitigation, monitoring, and management of risks (e.g. business, operational, reputational, etc.)
  2.  Ensures that the branch pass the AMLA, Business Process, BIADD and BCAD assessments
  3.  Responsible for resolving long outstanding audit exceptions and documentary deficiencies
  4.  Responsible for the branch internal control implementation regarding transaction management, account related transactions and clearing operations in regard to the risk appetite of the bank
  5.  Ensures consistent implementation of the Bank’s Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Program (MLPP):
  6. Complies with all AML/CFT responsibilities as provided under the relevant Bank policies and procedures
  7. Ensures timely and proper resolution of identified AML/CFT issues
  8. Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time in connection with identification, assessment, monitoring control and reporting of AML/CFT risks
  9. Ensures Bank’s compliance with applicable AML/CFT laws, rules and regulations, latest trends and best practices
  10.  Ensures compliance of KYC requirements during account opening and account review/updating including interviewing client and reviewing the required documents
  11.  Reviews customer risk assessment and seeks approval prior to account opening and during account review/updating

Customer Centricity

  1. Ensures consistent service delivery to minimize customer complaints
  2. · As the designated Consumer Assistance Officer (CAO) of the branch, he/she is responsible for receiving and documenting complaints/queries on accounts and providing timely resolution

People Development

  1. Co-presides daily morning huddle
  2.  Coaches and mentors CSRs through regular one-on-one sessions
  3.  Contributes in building camaraderie and maintaining harmonious relationship among branch and agency personnel
  4.  Identifies high potential CSRs
  5.  Endorses CSR appointments and promotions
  6.  Participates as panelist for revalida and SME for trainings and immersions

Others

  1. Contributes in the attainment of the BPS
  2.  Attends regular area BOO meeting
  3.  Attends regular branch meeting
  4.  Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time
