Position Title: AML Investigation Officer

Job Summary:

To augment effectiveness of management’s oversight function over the Banks program to minimize risks associated with money laundering, terrorism financing, proliferation financing and non-compliance with AML rules and regulation by providing the management comprehensive investigation results. 

Role Exposure:

Investigation Triggers:

  • Assigned cases are investigated
  • Related and Materially-Linked accounts are identified   

Recommendation:

  • Specific and actionable    

Turnaround time:

  • Ensure investigation is completed within turnaround time 
  • Ensure action items are promptly addressed

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Foster clear communication on the true value of investigation

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or other relevant certifications are an advantage
  • Years of experience:
    • 1st line of defense: at least 3 years of relevant experience
    • 2nd  and 3rd line of defense: at least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Proficient with MS Office Applications
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
