Position Title: Account Manager


Job Summary:
 

  • Drives and manages the relationship with the business and ITG
  • Ensures the end-to-end delivery of IT business needs from project ideation to implementation
  • Works with the business units and provides significant inputs to the definition and maintenance of the client’s overall IT strategy covering projects and business-as-usual (BAU) system enhancement requests

Role Exposure:
 

  • Establish and maintain project governance framework
  • Align IT plans of business units with the business units’ goals and strategies
  • Conduct regular client touchpoints to provide status of priority projects and BAU requests
  • Overall accountable for the ideation activities and initiation activities for enhancements and subscriptions
  • Review and coordinate with appropriate business units for the relevant costs and budget associated to their projects
  • Works with the business and ITG in defining priority levels for the clients’ system requests; negotiates with clients on issues related to resource contention and delivery dates
  • Handles the assessment and evaluation of BAU system enhancements requested by business units
  • Participates in the preparation of the business case and high-level requirements documents, in support of firming up technology solutions for clients’ specific needs
  • Establish collaboration and teamwork with business units, key personnel and stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 5 to 8 years of experience as a full-time project manager (directly managing the team) in a financial service, banking or insurance industry
  • Has strong background in IT and non-IT projects
  • Very conversant with different project management frameworks (e.g. Scrum, PMP, Kanban) and preferably certified
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Iterative Waterfall, Scrum) and best practices
  • Demonstrated experience in handling enterprise or complex application projects
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Excellent communications skills (Oral/Written), interpersonal and presentation skills
