BUDGET CONTROL OFFICER

Position Title: Budget Control Officer
Job Summary:
Officer in charge of the General Services Group (GSG)’s capital expenditure, operating expense and cost champion budget preparation, tracking and monitoring, variance analysis and budget accountability.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Budget preparation
- Under the direct supervision of BDD Head, the Budget Control Officer is responsible for supporting the preparation and the capital expenditure and operating expense budget of GSG including its cost champion managed budget.
- Reviews and consolidates budget proposals of different GSG divisions and Metrobank Business units.
- Prepares and disseminates budget templates to business units and guides them in budget preparation
- Prepares presentation materials for budget approval.
- Budget Control - Tracking and monitoring
- Controls budget expenditures and administers GSG Managed budget.
- Maintains records of approved budgets and tracks allotments, processing purchasing requisitions, awards, other relevant documents, maintains records, and available budget;
- Prepares periodic and special reports showing the status of Finance and budget trackers
- Capital Expenditure and Operating Expense Variance Analysis
- Reviews COG-FPAD’s monthly report on Capital Expenditure and Operating Expense and analyzes the significant variance; propose adjusting entries, as required
- Coordinates accrual of GSG Managed operating expenses with COG-FPAD, and other concerned business units
Qualifications:
- Graduate of any Business- related courses, preferably Economics, Accounting or Finance
- At least 5 years working experience in creating financial reports and analysis
- Must have a pro-active approach to problem solving and the ability to meet tight deadlines
