Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Compliance Specialist (CS), the Compliance Analyst assists the CS in executing a robust independent compliance testing (ICT) process and an effective compliance training program. Success in this role will be measured by achieving the following key outcomes:

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

1.    Compliance Policy Manual:
•    Assists the CS in the identification and selection of risk areas/activities to be subjected for ICT using approved methodologies.
•    Prepares checklist summary of identified regulatory risk areas/activities for ICT per business unit;
 
2.    Communication & Training:
•    Assists the CS in:
o    Design/updating of the contents of the various compliance training programs of the Bank;
o    Preparing compliance infoscripts concerning compliance issues that need reiterations, clarifications etc. for bank-wide dissemination;
o    Maintaining the Compliance Library to provide stakeholders easy access to regulatory issuances
 
3.    Constructive Working Relationship with Regulatory Agencies:
•    Supports the CS in:
o    Ensuring that ICT reports are well-documented and readily available for review during BSP examinations;
 
4.    Monitoring, Assessment, and Reporting 
•    Assists the CS in the:
o    Conduct of ICT across identified business units within established timelines ensuring that all regulations in the compliance matrix are tested in a given period;
o    Preparation of ICT reports for the review of the Department Head;
o    Conduct of adhoc reviews/investigations relative to compliance or regulatory breaches/violations;
o    Preparation of accurate and timely submission of required statutory reports, BSP notices/applications etc. in coordination with concerned units;
o    Preparation of presentation materials for reporting to Corporate Governance and Compensation Committee (CGCCom) in its quarterly meetings;
•    Reviews Branch Operations Control Division and Internal Audit Group reports to identify compliance-related issues
•    Gathers pertinent data and assists the CS in the preparation of reports/materials for the Senior Management, Board of Directors and pertinent committees;
•    Monitors submission of ICT folders and necessary working papers;
•    Maintains an up-to-date tracking system to monitor the resolution of ICT observations and findings, ensuring accountability and closure of issues
 
5.    Additional Responsibilities: 
•    Maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry best practices;
•    Performs other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the Division and Bank.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, Business Management or any Accounting related course
  • CPA is advantage but not required
  • Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply
  • Highly Analytical and Keen to details
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
