Position Title: Compliance Analyst

 

Job Summary:

  • Assists the department in carrying out its primary task of providing support, overseeing and monitoring the implementation by international branches/subsidiaries of the compliance system

 

Role Exposure:

 

  • Researches, gathers, and maintains laws, regulations and practices (e.g., host country banking regulations, relevant regulatory rules etc.) that cover the operations of international branches and subsidiaries.

 

  • Prepares/gathers/validates as needed, data/documents to support replies to the audit findings and other compliance matter requirements of the international branches/subsidiaries.

 

 

  • Assists in the preparation of reports (e.g. regularization reports [RR]), inter-office letter (IOLs), follow-up memo to international branches/subsidiaries regarding compliance issues (e.g., operational guidelines updates, implementation of new policies, monitoring of unresolved items, etc.).
  •  

 

  • Prepares schedules and maintains database and/or file folders for each international branches/subsidiaries audited to easily track the regularization and/or resolution of audit findings and to monitor the actions which still needs to be taken.

 

 

  • Encodes data and performs analysis of the causes of major and recurring exceptions based on the internal and external/regulatory audit reports.
  • Assists in coordinating with the appropriate/concerned units as required, facilitates the regularization of excepted items.

 

  • Evaluates and recommends to immediate supervisor appropriate corrective actions as identified in the internal and external audit reports as well as exceptions cited by the Controllership Group.

 

  • Assists in evaluation of the processes, practices and reference materials/documents submitted by international branches/subsidiaries in ensuring compliance with established standards, internal policies and procedures as well as local and host country regulations.

 

 

  • Safekeeps and maintains inventory listings of either duplicate or originally signed files/documents (e.g., remittance agreements for remittance tie-ups, remittance correspondent agents, etc.) submitted by remittance units or by foreign offices.

 

 

  • Encodes/prepares needed schedules/correspondences and maintains the department’s file folders.

 

 

  • Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or equivalent
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
