Position Title: Data Management Engineer
Job Summary:
The Data Management Engineer shall be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of bank‑level data pipelines, data flows and databases. The role requires strong proficiency in data ingestion, data processing, data transformation and data integration concepts and tools to design efficient, reliable and fit‑for‑purpose data processes.
The role demands an optimization and efficiency mindset, with the capability to design optimal data flows across the end‑to‑end data lifecycle for diverse enterprise data sources, while ensuring data quality, integrity, security, and protection in accordance with bank standards. The role is also responsible for supporting master data management and maintaining accurate and complete data documentation, ensuring consistent definitions, structures, and usage of critical data assets across the bank.
Role Exposure:
- Understand and analyze the end‑to‑end data lifecycle of the bank’s data sources to design efficient, scalable data flows and optimal data pipelines.
- Develop and maintain data documentation, including data definitions, mappings, data flow documentation, and technical design artifacts to support transparency, reuse and sustainability.
- Support master data management initiatives, including the creation, integration, and maintenance of consistent master data aligned with enterprise standards.
- Apply best practices in data management to create efficient data ingestion, data transformation, data integration and data archiving process design.
- Develop and maintain integration processes to create data marts and other forms of data bases.
- Design and implement data processes for new and evolving data sources, ensuring solutions are fit‑for‑purpose and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing data management processes.
- Ensure data solutions comply with security, data governance, and quality standards, and support required documentation and deployment activities.
- Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data management, or related roles
- Experience with cloud-based or hybrid data platforms is a strong advantage.
- Proficient in data analytics and programming tools, including SAS, SQL, R, and Python.
- Working knowledge of hybrid and/or cloud computing environments.
- Prior experience working with local and/or international banking institutions is preferred.
