Position Title: Data Protection Specialist

 

Job Summary:
 

  • Assists the Data Protection Officer on the mentioned duties, specifically the following:
  • Review of all contracts and/or agreements wherein personal data is involved;
  • Handling of internal data privacy issues coming from:
    • Incident Reports
    • Requests for investigation
    • Business units such as HR, Fraud, Audit, Compliance, Legal, Ops Risk, etc.

Role Exposure:

  • Assists the Data Protection Officer on the mentioned duties, specifically the following:
    • Handling of issues and/or complaints coming from the official email of the DPO, Customer Service, Agencies and third-party counterparts
    • Liaise with the regulatory agencies such as NPC or DICT
    • Update the DPO and the Bank of the new rules and regulations
    • Ensures compliance of these rules and regulations
  • Assists the Data Protection Officer on the mentioned duties, specifically the following:
    • Preparation of PIAs
    • Assists Business Units in the preparation of the PIAs
    • Conduct PIA reviews
    • Conduct Penetration Testing
    • Facilitate Data Breach Drills
    • Liaise with Ops Risk Team for data privacy BCP
    • Documentation of Data Privacy related policies (example: Database Guidelines Management)
  • Assists in following up with the Business Units the development execution, implementation & completion of Privacy Impact Assessment & Personal Data Inventory including Personal Data Process flow
  • Ensures documentation of all Data Privacy meetings performed
  • Monitors and develops tracking system of all data privacy related issues are address within the agreed turn-around time
  • Assists in the documentation of regular updates on Bank’s Privacy Statement & Policy
  • Regular updating of registry of system processing personal data
  • Handling of Data Sharing Agreement administrative requirements
  • Performs other duties and tasks that may be assigned by the Bank that will further the interest of data privacy and security and uphold the rights of the data subjects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and/or equivalent
  • At least 2-3 years solid experience in contract review/drafting and case management
  • Experience on reporting to regulatory bodies such as the NPC, BSP, or SEC required
  • Data Privacy-related Certifications an advantage
