Position Title: Deputy Head, Credit Operations and Support

 

Job Summary:

This role supports the Group's overall performance and operational effectiveness by driving key activities in performance management, workforce planning, compliance oversight, and budget stewardship. It also ensures smooth execution of administrative, reporting, and operations-related functions providing leadership with timely insights and enabling the Group to operate efficiently and strategically. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Credit Policy, Process, and Portfolio Management Team and the Credit Operations and Administration Team, ensuring that all credit policies, systems, and processes are continuously updated, relevant, and aligned with evolving business priorities and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive operational excellence by strengthening goverance frameworks, optimizing end-to-end credit processes, and ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of all credit-related operational support functions.
  • Lead analytical functions including portfolio analytics, policy reviews, process streamlining, and development of guidelines and process updates to support sound credit governance.
  • Oversee systems onboarding and implementation, ensuring readiness, alignment of requirements, and smooth integration
  • Manage end-to-end project delivery across assigned initiatives-from ideation and design, to testing, execution, and post
  • Drive major transformation initiatives, including credit system replacement, process modemization, and other Group-wide
  • Lead the team in conducting portfolio management activities, including industry assessments, portfolio reviews, and stress

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Accountancy, Accounting Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Management or Economics; MBA or postgraduate degree preferred
  • At least 10 years total professional experience in Credit, Institutional Banking, or Lending (required)
  • Preferably with commercial lending exposure with strong background in strategic initiatives or enterprise-wide transformation projects
  • Leadership experience in managing teams and cross-functional collaboration is an advantage
