Position Title: Employee Relations Officer

 

Job Summary:

  • The Employee Relations Officer (PHC-focused) is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring programs that reflect the company’s commitment to social responsibility, sustainability, and community engagement.
  • Interest Group Management:
    • Trains and develops employees to become socially responsible leaders and champions of volunteerism.
    • Monitors PHC Chapter Organization, Succession Planning, and Resource / Volunteer Mobilization
    • Oversees the structure and sustainability of Purple Hearts Club chapters Bankwide, ensuring that they are well-organized and aligned with the Bank’s Core Values and volunteerism thrusts.
  • Project Management:
    • Develops and implements CSR programs using linkages of the Metrobank Foundation and other social development organizations in a unified expression of Metrobank’s corporate volunteerism
    • Leads the end-to-end development and execution of CSR initiatives—from conceptualizing impactful programs to managing logistics, partnerships, and communications. This includes identifying community needs, aligning projects with corporate values, securing volunteers’ interest, and ensuring smooth implementation.

 

Role Exposure:

 

CSR Program Development & Implementation

  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and evaluates Bank-initiated CSR activities in collaboration with PHC Chapters and their officers, ensuring alignment with corporate values and community needs.

Employee Volunteerism Advocacy

  • Advocates for and sustains employee participation in various CSR initiatives, fostering a culture of volunteerism across the Bank and PHC Chapters through consistent engagement and communication.

Strategic Partnerships & Collaboration

  • Establishes and maintains strategic partnerships with external organizations—including but not limited to the Metrobank Foundation and GT Foundation—to support and expand the Bank’s employee volunteerism efforts.

Volunteer Group Management & Leadership Support

  • Manages the operations of the PHC’s corps of officers and extended secretariat, providing guidance and support to ensure the achievement of their organizational objectives and the long-term sustainability of volunteer groups.

Budget and Database Management

  • Prepares, monitors, and manages budget allocations for CSR programs and activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with strategic priorities. Database Management
  • Ensures creation and maintenance of databases for:
    • Chapter Leadership - Tracks officer profiles and leadership transitions across PHC Chapters
    • Volunteer Participation - Monitors employee engagement and participation in CSR activities.
    • Year-round PHC Activities - Maintains records of planned and completed chapter-wide initiatives.
    • PHC Chapter-Initiated Projects - Captures initiatives from individual chapters.

Qualifications:

  • College graduate (Business course or equivalent with computer know-how)
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience on Employee Advocacy, Rewards and Recognition, Employee Engagement, Project Management, Event Management, Corporate Social Responsibility Management, Volunteer Management, Coaching and Counseling, Strategy Development, Assessment and Measurement, Facilitation, Process Observation & Analysis
