Position Title: Enterprise Risk Officer
Job Summary:
- Manages midlevel ICAAP/RP and ERM functions and responsibilities.
Role Exposure:
- Exercises primary oversight for the storage and proper maintenance of all archives of ICAAP/RP files, memos, documents and related materials, both in electronic format and paper format. This necessarily includes the direct supervision of the assigned staff who handles the actual data storage and maintenance.
- Maintains, updates, and evolves spreadsheet models used for ICAAP/RP activities, such as the budget templates, capital adequacy spreadsheets, and stress testing spreadsheets by Business Units (BU) and by Covered Subsidiaries, Associate, or Affiliate (SAA) companies.
- Updates and apprises the ERID Head regarding developments in regulatory (e.g. new circulars or global accords that impact ICAAP/RP etc.), accounting and financial environment.
- Monitors and works with the different units in the evaluation and quantification of risks and the evolution of the metrics used for risk measurement as these are applied for ICAAP/RP purposes
- Closely monitors developments in the BUs and SAAs and ensure that the ICAAP/RP activities of the Bank are appropriately captured in the regular ICAAP/RP updates to Senior Management and the Board of Directors.
- Assists the ERID Head in the coordination work with all units, including
- Coordinates of schedules of ICAAP/RP meetings with all affected units, across business units (BUs), subsidiaries, affiliates, and associate (SAAs) institutions
- Assures the general logistics required for ICAAP/RP meetings (venue, computers and peripherals, attendance log, preparation of materials for distribution or discussion, etc.)
- Takes minutes of such meetings and transcribing them accurately and concisely, in a timely manner with minimum to none-existent clerical errors
- Responds to all pertinent requests, queries, and issues of BUs and SAAs, ensuring that all communications coming from the Enterprise Risk Department have prior approval from the ERID Head
- Assists the ERID Head in the preparation of all ICAAP/RP-related presentations and reports, including but not limited to the following:
- Drafting communications intended for counterparties
- Preparation of presentation materials and slides
- Preparation of preliminary reports and the research, validation, or verification etc. of data and information required for such reports
- Assists the ERID Head in the final preparation of all BSP submissions, including
- The vetting of the final documents by all required internal units
- The preparation of the physical reports themselves as to number of copies, following prescribed or standard formatting and following all company protocols that are needed to be observed as regards submissions to the regulators (legal and compliance requirements etc.)
- Assists the ERID Head in helping the Bank address any remedial measures or steps required by the regulators or senior management in order for the Bank to comply with BSP rules
- Assists the ERID Head in the modeling of the financials of the Bank pursuant to generic capital adequacy assessments beyond the usual regulatory prescriptions
- Assists the ERID Head in the performance of the annual stress testing and update of the Recovery Plan (RP); Assists the ERID Head in the creation of stress scenarios and corresponding recovery plans, in coordination with the identified subject matter experts (SMEs) within the Bank
- Assists the ERID Head in designing and implementing quantitative and qualitative frameworks to manage enterprise risks, and analyses that gauge risks and returns
- Assists the ERID Head in design reports and institutional dashboards for senior management and the Board of Directors to monitor enterprise risks
- Assists the ERID Head in other tasks and work-related concerns as may be required from time to time.
- Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, or Economics.
- Exposure and background to basel standards , ICAAP Internal Capital Adequacy from banking industries.
