Position Title: Head, Automation and Performance Testing Department


Job Summary:
 

  • Works under the general direction and supervision of the head of Service Quality Division
  • Manages the software development quality assurance delivery with focus on test automation and performance testing of the bank’s enterprise wide suite of applications.
  • Manages test automation and performance testing scope of projects for the bank
  • The department head has significant involvement in test automation and performance testing activities of the implementation of technology-enabled strategic and tactical business initiatives for the bank, and focuses on maintaining overall satisfaction with the quality and timeliness of testing services provided by ITG and is responsible for the day-to-day administration and operation of the respective department which includes workload prioritizing, testing recommendations, staff hiring, ITG policy formulation, financial and budgetary controls, identifying operational needs, and setting of division-wide policies and procedures.

Role Exposure:

 

  • Contributes to the visioning exercise to develop and implement medium to long-term innovative plans for the testing organization, to effectively and economically meet current and anticipated future demands of the bank
  • Drives automation of test design and execution practices as well as continuous improvement initiatives in the test automation and performance test frameworks
  • Contributes to definition of Testing Policies and Strategies as well as assets and tools to be applied in all Testing delivery;
  • Manages capacity and schedules of the department ensuring proper distribution of assignments and adequate allocation of resources and support utilities
  • Liaises with other department heads in the optimal assignment and loading of available resources
  • Regularly reviews testing delivery progress status reports and socializes to relevant stakeholders
  • Liaises with other SQD department heads and ITG delivery units to ensure overall project delivery success
  • Reviews and approves system and project documentation, change control packages
  • Handles personnel management including recruitment and selection, supervision, disciplinary actions, and performance appraisals; develops and trains staff to ensure high skill levels
  • Contributes to activities like development, training, research, budget management, and policies review/improvement
  • Ensures compliance with internal and external policies, security and legal regulatory requirements as applicable. Supports audit exercises when needed
  • Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time
