Position Title: Head, Documentation and Control Department - Institutional Credit
Job Summary:
- Reviews and approves legal and collateral documents as Documents In Order based on prescribed documentation policies and tiered approving authority
- Directly supervises, plans and directs the activities and functions of the Documentation Review Officers and Documentation Assistants in compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures geared towards the attainment of the division’s goals and objectives
- Endorses/approves documentation requirement deviation
Role Exposure:
- Reviews and approves legal and collateral documents as Documents in Order for all approved loan and credit line facilities based on delegated approving authorities, ensuring compliance to the terms and conditions as per approval media and guided by prescribed policies and procedures on loan documentation
- Directly supervises the documentation functions of Documentation Review Officers and Documentation Assistants, to wit:
- Ensures quality of output in terms of accuracy and completeness of documentation requirements; timely sending of legal documents to Lending Units
- Ensures updated documentation policies are cascaded to the documentation personnel in a timely manner and discussions held where warranted.
- Ensures timely submission of reports
- For availments against approved loans with incomplete documentary requirements, ensures the timely preparation of Transaction Release Slip (TRS) based on the agreed Service Level Agreement and endorses/approves documentation requirement deviations based on approved delegated authorities
- Reviews existing policies/ procedures to enhance the control function and close process gaps, where warranted
- Supports the Credit Control Division Head in managing the Division’s manning requirements and provides management information reports and assistance in special projects
- Monitors and manages the resolution and regularization of all exceptions and findings arising from internal and external audits
- Actively manages the preparation and monitoring of the Monthly Document Deficiency Report and participates in the coordination with Lending Units for the resolution/compliance of the noted deficiencies
- Supervises the active management of loan and collateral documents of DROs/DA involving the process of receiving, validation of completeness against terms and conditions of approval, custodianship and maintenance of collateral files
- Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 5 years’ of solid experience in dealing with institutional credit concerning conglomerate / large accounts
- Has strong exposure in reviewing and documentation covering syndicated loans and restructured loans
- Ability to collaborate with other business units
