Position Title: Head, Innovation Lab
Job Summary:
- To lead and manage a team of software developers, supporting them in building industry leading, secure, robust and innovative banking solutions.
- To develop a strategy for the team to meet the bank’s goals and objectives, and to improve the quality of the service it delivers internally and externally.
- Responsible for the quality and technical approach taken by team members, ensuring it is in line with the bank strategy and that projects are delivered on time and on budget.
- Creating and maintaining a professional culture within the team, where individuals take ownership and are proud of delivering excellence and quality.
- The role will also need to display strong skills for influencing change to shift technology to a place where it is agile and forward looking in order to provide outstanding customer experience as well as compelling customer touch points in all digital channels.
Role Exposure:
- Create a strong agile development environment including leading the adoption of agile development methodologies and tools to meet the fast pace and rapidly changing dynamics and innovation in the field of banking and technology
- Create solution proof of concepts to realize feasibility of solution and/or technology early
- Provide strong technical leadership and drive development of cutting-edge and innovative products
Qualifications:
- hands-on experience on new software technologies (cloud-native applications/services, containers, data pipelines, etc)
- skill set to architect, design and code (when needed) to proof-of-concept application or services that would solve a particular problem or introduce a new way of doing things
