Position: Head, Learning and Development Department
Job Summary:
- Ensures the readiness and ability of the Metrobank Academy to cater to the learning and development needs of bank employees. Works with other HR divisions in the delivery of various HR initiatives and training programs.
- Qualifies program design of in-house and external programs that are business-focused, time efficient, and cost effective.
- Ensures formulation and effective implementation of training administration guidelines and management of training facilities and logistics.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Learning and Development:
- Provides oversight in the design, development and implementation of all learning activities in the Bank
- Leads the LDD teams to provide training solutions and programs for personal and professional growth and development and team effectiveness.
Budget Management
- Oversees training budget preparation and monitoring.
- Ensures that training and OD program expenses are within approved budget.
- Approves training-related expenses within authorized limits.
Management Report
- Ensures preparation of timely and accurate management reports
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development or Organizational Development, ideally within banking/financial services or large, multi-site organizations.
- 5+ years in a leadership role managing L&D functions/teams (program design, delivery, evaluation, administration, and vendor management).
- Demonstrated experience owning and managing training budgets, building annual L&D plans, and monitoring spend against targets.
