Position Title: Industrial Relations Officer
Job Summary
Manages compliance to standards and Bank’s Code of Conduct through:
- Development of labor relation programs and ensuring that such programs of Management are properly effected to further advance and nurture industrial harmony;
- Formulation and implementation of proactive and constructive policies and programs on employee standards of behavior as well as the constant review on the aptness and practicability of these standards.
- Formulation and implementation of processes and programs pertinent to standards of labor / work conditions
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Handles employee administrative cases covering investigation, deliberation and implementation of administrative cases decision.
- Implements the decisions rendered by the Bank’s institutional administrative deliberating bodies, i.e., Special Action Committee (SAC) and Branch Operations Control Division – Branch Reports Evaluation and Administration Department (BOCD-BREAD) on various operational/administrative cases.
- Evaluates various administrative cases and policy violations and implements appropriate disciplinary actions on erring employees, including coordination with Legal Services Department on matters relating to critical labor cases including termination of employment.
- Recommends appropriate resolutions on labor-related concerns and issues e.g. LMC & grievance handling.
- Handles and coordinates with Union matters relating to Union programs and activities affecting bank employees.
- Acts as secretariat during Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiations and ensures that the Bank’s CBA is compliant with DOLE policies and procedures
- Handles queries and requests for clarification and correct interpretation of CBA provision(s).
- Updates himself with updated relevant labor laws and ensures timely communication to all employees
