Infrastructure Architect
Job Summary
The Infrastructure Architect is in charge of the design and delivery of complex IT infrastructure projects for the Bank’s Core Business Units, Foreign Branches and Subsidiaries. These projects involve various disciplines including IT physical infrastructure, networks and telecommunications, systems administration and IT project and support services.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Planning and Design: Reviews the design of the infrastructure layer of ITG-owned projects, tools, and facilities, especially complex systems that involve various applications. Recommends changes to the overall infrastructure design based on new technologies and standards
- Project Review: Reviews the project designs submitted by vendors, compares them, and makes recommendations on the best option to pursue.
- Project Support: Serves as infrastructure point person for projects under his oversight. Coordinates with the appropriate infrastructure personnel regarding support requirements. Ensures end-of-support (EOS) and end-of-life (EOL) of infrastructure components are tracked and remediated in coordination with affected units. Provides infrastructure inputs and recommendations to business units in the formulation of application roadmaps.
- Review of Current Infra: Reviews the current infrastructure environment to identify critical deficiencies. Engage with the ITG and business units affected and plan for and implement solutions for these deficiencies.
- Infra Evaluation Process: Implements and revises, as necessary, the infrastructure technology evaluation process. Identifies gaps and gives recommendations for improvement.
- Communication: Serves as resource person in meetings/discussions involving infrastructure designs and requirements.
- Infra Transformation: Review current legacy infrastructure and services and recommend migration into next-generation capabilities aligned to new and emerging business needs, with focus on enterprise-wide changes. Keeps up-to-date with new technologies and strategies and recommend changes, as necessary.
- BOM Review: Reviews the scope of vendor project proposals and bill of materials (BOM) submitted for enterprise-wide projects if the infrastructure conforms to company standards and requirements.
- Infrastructure Documents: Recommends additional information that needs to be included in infrastructure documents based on evolving standards and new technologies.
- ID Representative: Consulted on strategies and technology requirements regarding projects, activities, and services. Serves as ID representative in the Architectural Review Board (ARB).
- Other tasks: Performs other functions or areas of responsibility that may be assigned by the immediate head.
