Legal Advisory

  • Provides legal and regulatory advice in the Group’s conduct of its fiduciary business activities and helps determine or assess the risks that should be considered in making business decisions
  • Coordinates with the Bank’s Legal Services Division and external counsels on the status of cases and the strategies to be taken relative to such cases
  • Prepares or reviews contracts, agreements and other correspondences with clients, counterparties and other service providers

Policy Management

  • Develops, reviews, and amends TBG’s operating policies procedures, forms and agreements and communicates any changes across all concerned stakeholders.
  • Maintains and updates TBG’s policies and procedures repository as necessary
  • Maintains TBG’s Manual of Policies and Procedures and serves as a clearing house for any review, revisions of policies and procedure
  • Prepares and conducts educational campaigns on Trust regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assists in providing active advisory service pertaining to BSP rules and regulations on Trust and Other Fiduciary Activities including those of other regulatory bodies, and internal policies and procedures governing TBG activities.

Internal and External Audits

  • Handles the coordination and centralized submission of data/information requirements to regulatory bodies and internal control units.
  • Assists in the crafting and consolidating internal and regulatory audit replies.
  • Monitors reasons of failed audit/examination ratings, recurring audit findings/exceptions and process / procedural lapse; and tracks corrective actions, directives, deliverables.

Qualifications

  • With at least 3 years experience as a Lawyer
  • Can work with minimal supervision
  • Preferably with Tax and Trust background
