Position Title: Organizational Development Officer

 

The Organization Development Department aims to enhance the effectiveness of the Bank’s human component through institutional people initiatives.

The OD Officer will play a pivotal role in driving organization design, change management, culture, performance management, leadership development, and talent management initiatives within the Bank, leveraging their skills as an exceptional project manager, data scientist, client-centric consultant, thought leader, and innovator.

Job Summary:

 

  • Exceptional Project Manager. Initiate and manage end-to-end responsibilities of multiple Organization Development projects. Including owning and supporting deployment, adoption, and handover of transformation projects into BAU to stakeholders.
  • Data Scientist. Skilled in scoping stakeholder requirements, gathering and using data to create change impact plans and analysis work on complex assignments. This includes Evaluating progress and impact of interventions and programs.
  • Client-centric consultant. Ability to independently lead cross-functional teams focused on enabling client stakeholders to evolve their teams and organizations through OD interventions.
  • Thought Leader. Forward-thinking, systems-thinker with the ability to detect and understand capability opportunities across various systems of the organization using the lens of Organization Design, Change Management, Talent Management, and Culture Building.
  • Innovator. Continues to evolve self while elevating Metrobank’s organizational culture by introducing programs and interventions to make self and teams relevant.

 

 

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

 

Organization Development

  • Develops programs aligned to the overall Organization Development Strategy of the bank under the guidance of the ODD Head and the HRMG leadership team.
  • Implements OD programs with effective organization-wide communication plan, in the following focus areas:
    1. Organization Design
      • Designs programs that help articulate, shape and sustain the organization’s brand and individual shared values that unite employees to have renewed commitment, exhibit desired behaviors and achieve high performance
      • Collaborates with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions to enhance performance.
    2. Change Management
      • Leads change management efforts, crafting and executing plans to ensure smooth transitions and cultivate adaptability across the organization, supporting the successful implementation of organizational changes.
      • Engages stakeholders, assesses change readiness, and mitigates resistance to ensure smooth transitions.
    3. Culture Building
      • Drives culture building efforts to foster a positive and high-performing organizational culture.
      • Develops strategies to reinforce desired behaviors, promote inclusion, and enhance employee engagement and well-being.
    4. Leadership Development and Talent Management
      • Manages the Bank’s Leadership Development and Talent Management programs that aim to build the Bank’s leadership pipeline and provide career growth opportunities for employees.
      • Collaborates with the Learning and Development Team of the Bank in the development and delivery of bank-wide leadership, behavioral, and functional training programs
      • Ensures competencies required for effective job performance are identified for job families and conducts periodic assessment of the competencies of the individual vis-à-vis job requirements.
      • Partners with the learning and development arm of the bank to monitor the development of talents.
    5. Performance Management
      • Creates and implements performance management strategies, systems, and processes to measure and enhance individual and organizational performance.
      • Drives and ensures implementation of the Bank’s performance management system by providing guidance and support to managers on goal-setting, feedback, performance monitoring and evaluation, development planning, and rewarding.
    6. Others
      • Ensures compliance with appropriate regulatory requirements and bank policies.
      • Ensures preparation of timely and accurate management reports.
      • Recommends improvement in policies, systems and procedures to ensure effectiveness of operation.
