Position Title: Service Reliability Engineer

 

Job Summary:

 

  • Ensures the reliability, availability, performance, and resiliency of critical systems and services. Supports incident management, system monitoring, automation initiatives, and continuous service improvements while collaborating with development, infrastructure, and support teams to maintain operational excellence. 

 

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Monitors production environments and critical systems to ensure service availability, performance, and stability. 
  • Responds to incidents, service disruptions, and operational issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and business impact. 
  • Performs root cause analysis for production issues and implements corrective and preventive measures to avoid recurrence. 
  • Develops and maintains automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention. 
  • Collaborates with development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and support teams to ensure system reliability and service excellence. 
  • Implements and supports monitoring and observability solutions to proactively identify and address system issues. 
  • Participates in capacity planning, performance tuning, and system optimization activities. 
  • Supports CI/CD initiatives and DevOps practices to enhance deployment reliability and operational effectiveness. 
  • Ensures compliance with established operational procedures, security standards, and disaster recovery requirements. 
  • Maintains system documentation, operational runbooks, and incident records. 
  • Assists in implementing high availability, resiliency, and business continuity solutions for critical applications and services. 
  • Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or any related course. 
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Application Support, Infrastructure Support, Service Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related technical roles. 
  • Knowledge of Linux administration and troubleshooting. 
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools, incident management, and automation practices.
  • Basic understanding of scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud or microservices environments is an advantage. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work in a production support and on-call environment
