SPECIAL ACCOUNTS MANAGEMENT OFFICER, SPECIAL ACCOUNTS MANAGEMENT DIVISION I

Responsibilities: 

Responsible for the management and resolution of past due loans as well as potential problem accounts referred by the Group, focusing on the development and implementation of remedial remedies and appropriate action plans with the objective of reducing the Bank’s Non-Performing Loans (NPL); Ensures recovery of loan exposure. Improves collateral/security position; and in specific instances, initiates and sustains legal actions.

  • Prepares informative memoranda for Management perusal containing account developments and/or loan recovery efforts, whether prospective or ongoing.
  • Prepares necessary recommendations and presents to Management appropriate strategy/remedial action to undertake emerging from the evaluations/studies/researches made.
  • Coordinates with other units of the bank to ensure smooth and proper implementation and documentation of approved settlement scheme.
  • Monitors/ensures clients’/borrowers’ adherence to the terms and conditions of the approved settlement scheme, most especially the on-time remittance of the scheduled payments and compliance with the documentary requirements.
  • Monitors subsequent developments with the company (e.g. supplier relations, loss of customers, etc.) and the industry (e.g. removal of tariffs, new entrants and new production technologies) which may impact the approved settlement scheme as well as development on cases filed versus the borrowers.
  • Attends consortia meetings as well as court hearings, if deemed necessary.
  • Prepares necessary correspondences to clients as well as fellow creditor banks.
  • Prepares reports such as collection report, master list of accounts and other reports that maybe required.

 

Qualifications: 

  • At least 3 years work experience in handling remedial accounts
  • Experience in handling consumer banking and commercial banking
  • With experience in handling Commercial / Corporate Accounts
  • Has credit and financial analysis experience
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
