Sales Support Officer (Institutional Sales)

Job Summary:

 

  • Provides transactional support to frontline personnel of Institutional Sales to maximize sales productivity. Scope of services includes customer set-up, deal fulfillment, regulatory and policy compliance of daily sales activities
  • Provides business management support and services to the frontline units of Institutional Sales. Includes nationwide logistics and communication, monitoring of training and development, project management, performance management support, audit, risk and compliance coordination

 

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Performance management support

  • Prepares periodic reports on financial and non-financial data to assist Business Heads in tracking and managing team performance, including the population of KRAs
  • Provides internal and external data as required in strategic and tactical planning by the Business Heads
  • Generates ad hoc reports to support the Institutional Sales business units in executing plans

 

Nationwide logistics and communication

  • Coordinates with relevant units to provide administrative and logistical requirements to frontline Institutional Sales personnel
  • Functions as custodian and central repository of all sales tools and libraries, and central database
  • Track fulfillment of guidelines for new joiners, transferees and exiting employees
  • Handles external broadcasts/emails to clients, including FX and FI rates
  • Handles internal broadcasts (Group or select units) of matters such as regulation, policy, processes / guidelines, new issues / products / variants, business changes, and other announcements.

 

Trade fulfillment

  • Facilitates customer setup in OPICS and client onboarding in FX/MB Online on behalf of Sales personnel, ensuring that committed turnaround time is met by coordinating completion of requirements with Relationship Manager / Branch Officer and the Sales personnel
  • Provides transactional support to Sales personnel to enable deal fulfillment, which may include:

o Generation of maturities report on time deposits and fixed income

o Internal coordination of customer orders with providers (TG, IS-CSD)

o Internal coordination of deals executed between Sales and customer with providers and processors (TG, IS-CSD, TOSD, Branch)

o Deal input / interface in OPICS/FX Online

o Filing of ITSP to help resolve technical issues in FX Online and MOSE

o Coordination of requirements of third-party custodian

  • Flags non-compliant transactions to the relevant Sales Personnel for corrective action
  • For primary issues when bank acts as Selling Agent, consolidates customer demand / orders of supported Sales desks, and ensures timely submission of complete subscription requirements
  • Coordinates Related Party Transaction approvals and monitors utilization

 

Others

  • Recommends process improvements related to various areas in the Group
  • Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • With at least three years of relevant work experience in sales support, reports management and analysis
  • Banking experience is highly preferred but not required
  • Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, competitive environment
