Position Title: Strategic Support Officer

 

Job Summary:

  • Provides initial on-site support for the various systems used by the Sector (i.e. Outlook, Reuters Messenger, FERS, FEDS, OPICS, Bloomberg, Reuters and PDEx);
  • Develops new systems tools and automates reports that will be useful for the Sector’s achievement of its desired goals;
  • Manages the implementation of projects and initiatives, including resolution of issues encountered from time to time;
  • Provides development and training support to related units (offshore and local subsidiaries and foreign branches) which may have a need for the systems currently being used by the Sector;
  • Handles logistics, planning, coordination and implementation of the Sector’s Business Continuity Plan;
  • Coordinates with software vendors, Risk Management and Information Technology Group for any additional subscription, upgrade, enhancement, auditing, training or maintenance activities for the various vendor-supported systems. (i.e. Reuters Messenger, OPICS, Bloomberg, Reuters and PDEx);
  • Coordinates with Information Technology Group for any issues, maintenance, upgrade, testing, relocation, training, scheduling activities for in-house systems supported by ITG;
  • Handles equipment inventory and logistical requirements of the units in the Sector;
  • Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time

 

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics or related field (Preferably a CPA, but not required)
  • Strong data gathering, analytical and organizational abilities
  • Proficient in spreadsheets
