Strategic Support Officer

Job Summary:

 

Monitors, analyzes and reports performance of all revenue generating units to assist senior management in the determination of variances between actual performance versus budget, as well monitors and guides the trading desks on the foreign exchange (FX) position of the Bank to ensure compliance to regulatory limit.

 

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Provides regular reports on the performance of all the revenue generating units under the Sector, comparing actual performance versus corresponding budgets
  • Accounts, reconciles and coordinates with Treasury Accounting Division and/or Datawarehouse Division variance/s between the estimated daily income or loss versus the actual accounting figures, and ensures proper resolutions of issues whenever there are inconsistencies
  • Accounts for the variance/s between the estimated daily FX and the actual FX Position, and coordinates with all concerned units (Treasury Accounting Division, Institutional Accounting Division, Remittance, International Operations Division, Sundries, etc) to find out the cause/s of the variance to ensure immediate actions are taken to correct the FX position
  • Provides reports to other units of the Bank (Corporate Banking Group, Commercial Banking Group, etc.) regarding their Treasury transactions, including the volume and income;
  • Creates or recommends tools and solutions to further improve the reporting process and address new business requirements of the group as well other units that have Treasury transactions
  • Assists in the preparation of the regular HNWI newsletter highlighting significant business developments within the Sector
  • Assists in the preparation and consolidation of the annual budget of the units in the Sector, including coordinating with the Strategic Planning Division as to the requirements and timetable, including ensuring that each unit commits to the desired Bank targets
  • Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time

 

Qualifications:

 

  • BS Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics or related field
  • CPA holder
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
  • Required Skills: Reporting, Administrative Writing, Organization, Problem Solving, Communication
  • Strong analytical and excellent communication skills
