Position Title: Swift Operations Officer

 

Job Summary:
 Supervises the secured and efficient operations of all foreign / local SWIFT and messages authentications facilities of the bank.

 

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day‑to‑day SWIFT shift operations to ensure secure and efficient message processing.
  • Authenticate incoming and outgoing SWIFT messages requiring manual verification.
  • Perform SWIFT transaction screening (OPAC, high‑risk hits) and validate false positives.
  • Manage SWIFT applications, including system upgrades, backups, archiving, and log reviews.
  • Support business units with SWIFT concerns, format updates, and operational inquiries.
  • Assist international branches (e.g., MB Korea, MB Tokyo) in troubleshooting SWIFT system issues.
  • Oversee RMA establishment and Telegraphic Test Key arrangements with financial institutions.
  • Handle upload and download of MT940/950 statements for internal systems such as FTP‑IM and RFE.
  • Monitor SWIFT server room environmental conditions to maintain operational integrity.
  • Contribute to Business Continuity Plan development and implementation.
  • Extract data from SWIFT systems and generate regular reports for management and business units.
  • Support the SWIFT Customer Security Program and perform required KYC self‑attestation activities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in SWIFT operations (preferred) or an IT technical background related to SWIFT systems.
  • Degree in BSIT, Computer Science, BSBA, or other ITrelated courses (ideally 60% technical / 40% banking).
  • Strong risk awareness and understanding of a zerotolerance error environment.
  • Mature and adaptable mindset; able to work in a highly critical operations setting.
