Position Title:  Collections Associate

 

Job Summary

  • The jobholder performs collection activities for Personal Loans accounts. He/She is responsible for achieving set targets, meeting team standards, and complying with policies and procedures.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers/branch employees via phone, email, and other channels to collect payments and/or negotiate payment arrangement/plans.

    • Identify and prioritize high-risk accounts for immediate attention.

    • Partner with other Collections Associates/Specialists/Officers to develop and implement effective collection strategies to minimize losses.

    • Document all interactions with customers/branch employees, including payment arrangements and agreements.

    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., BSP, Data Privacy).

    • Generate reports on collection activities, metrics, and outcomes.

    • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a firm collections approach.

    • Prepare email/SMS templates and correspondences, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

    • Verify customer information and documentation.

    • Perform data entry, filing, and document management tasks.

    • Assist with customer inquiries and issue resolution.

    • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

    • Provide administrative support to Collections Officers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree holder from a reputable college/university
  • With at least one (1) year experience in the banking industry preferably on retail consumer loans for personal loans. Experience in collections is an advantage.
  • Ability to convey and explain information, opinions and arguments effectively.  Understanding of correct grammar and usage
  • MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint (Intermediate)
  • Willing to work overtime, work on a shifting schedule, on weekends and holidays.
  • Willing to work onsite 100%
